Oberammergau Passion Play
From 18th May to 6th October 2030 once again the villagers of Oberammergau in Bavaria will perform their world famous Passion Play, a tradition which first started in 1634. The performance involves more than 2,000 villagers, a full orchestra and a vast stage and commemorates Christ’s journey into Jerusalem, His death and resurrection.
Our Oberammergau Tours

Our Oberammergau Group Tours
The five Oberammergau Passion Play tours in our new brochure will be priced on:
- Category 2 Passion Play ticket
- Category C accommodation in Oberammergau (equivalent to 3* hotel or 4* guesthouse)
- 3* hotel during the pre-Passion Play tour
- Half board accommodation throughout, including a 3 course dinner during the Play’s 3 hour interval
- Return scheduled flights from your chosen airport
- Professional tour manager
- Full programme of included excursions & guided tours
- Executive coach throughout your tour, including return bus service from your Oberammergau accommodation to the theatre
- Admission to the Oberammergau Museum
- Playbook of the 2030 Passion Play
Free places for groups
If you can get together 15 or more from your club, society or church to travel on any of our Passion Play tours, we will give you one free place for every 15 paying for you to spend as you see fit - a free place for you, to raise money for your club, society or church or simply to cover special extras for your group while on the tour.
Tailor Made Oberammergau Passion Play Tours for Groups
Alternatively if 25 or more of your group would like to travel together, we can tailor make your Passion Play tour to your exact requirements, exclusively for your group and your group alone. As your Oberammergau Passion Play tour is exclusively for your group, it can be tailor made to suit the interests and profile of your members. Your group could choose to:
- upgrade the Oberammergau Passion Play tickets to Category 1 (tickets for the Play are rated from Category 1 - the best - to 6)
- upgrade the accommodation in Oberammergau to Category A (equivalent to a 5* hotel) or Category B (equivalent to a 4* hotel or 5* guesthouse)
- stay at a different destination during your pre or post-Passion Play tour
- stay at a 4* hotel during your pre or post-Passion Play tour
- with less dinners included
- for more (or fewer) days
- include different excursions
- include UK airport coach transfers (for flight tours)
- travel by executive coach from your preferred pick up points (instead of flying)
- include all entrance fees, gratuities & personal audio headsets
We’ll still give you one free place for every 15 paying, provide you with free colour marketing to help you promote the tour to your members and handle all invoicing and payments from your members.
