Tour Reviews

Reviews for Normandy & Calvados Country

Date of tour: May 2017

Thank you for helping arrange our U3A expedition to Normandy, earlier this month. Everything went very well and we had a satisfied clientele who seemed to really enjoy the smooth running of the holiday and the programme we had arranged. The coach drive was excellent and the hotels absolutely fine for 3 star status. I am glad we arranged the breakfast at Arromanches as nowhere else was open at that time of the morning and it was a very good and welcome meal. I think the Bell Foundry and the Christian Dior museum gave a lighter touch, as well. So thank you or all you did – not least in response to telephone conversations altering things – but I do feel we got it right in the end.

Just to thank you for all your help and guidance in making our visit to Normandy so enjoyable. It all went well and all the members without exception enjoyed themselves. Normandy is as beautiful as ever and the late Spring meant the Auge area was a cascade of apple-blossom, fat cattle and fine Calvados. Thank you for arranging such a varied and interesting package for us, and the added information from the French Tourist Board proved invaluable in giving us the background to each place of interest we visited.
