Suggested Itinerary

Day 1 – Brasov

Scheduled flight to Bucharest from your preferred airport – transfer with our guide in our private executive coach to the 4* Aro Palace Hotel in Brasov in the Transylvanian region of Romania – dinner in our hotel.

Day 2 – Brasov & Dracula’s Castle

Guided tour of the medieval town of Brasov with ornate Saxon churches and townhouses – Bran Castle is known the world over as Dracula’s Castle and was created by the Saxons in the late 14th century to defend Brasov from invasion by the Turks.

Day 3 – Sighisoara & Viscri

Visit the UNESCO listed medieval city of Sighisoara, whose city walls encircle cobbled streets lined with 16th century burghers’ houses and churches – continue to Viscri to visit the Church of Viscri, originally built in 1100 by the Székely population.

Day 4 – Peles Castle & lunch at Urlati

En route to Bucharest, visit Peles Castle near Sinaia in the Carpathian Mountains, built in the late 19th century for Romania’s first monarch, King Carol I, to resemble a Bavarian Schloβ and whose rooms are richly decorated in ebony, mother of pearl and leather – at Urlati enjoy an included traditional lunch with wine tasting – check in to the 4* Athénée Palace Hilton Hotel in Bucharest.

Day 5 – Guided tour of Bucharest & Village Museum

Guided tour of Bucharest, taking in sights such as the Royal Palace and the Palace of Parliament, the third largest building in the world after the Pentagon and the Potala Palace in Tibet – afternoon visit to the open air Village Museum, a vast park displaying buildings from every region of Romania and showcasing traditional Romanian village life.

Day 6 – Bucharest

Morning free at leisure before we transfer to the airport for our scheduled flight home.

Three nights at the 4* Aro Palace Hotel in Brasov, a city in the Transylvania region and ringed by the Carpathian Mountains. Two nights at the 4* Athénée Palace Hilton Hotel in Bucharest. Facilities at both hotels include a restaurant and bar and all rooms are en suite. Dinner is included on the first evening and the remaining nights are on bed and breakfast basis.
