Suggested Itinerary
Day 1 – Montecatini Terme
Scheduled flight to Italy from your preferred airport – transfer with our tour manager in our private executive coach to the 4* Grand Hotel Tamerici & Principe in the village of Montecatini Terme.
Day 2 – Pisa
Optional guided tour of Pisa – rest of the day free to explore at your leisure the many splendid buildings, including the Baptistry, the Duomo and, of course, the Leaning Tower.
Day 3 – Florence
Guided tour of Florence to introduce us to the sights of the capital city of Renaissance art including the River Arno, the Ponte Vecchio and the magnificent Duomo followed by free time to explore the Uffizi or see Michelangelo’s ‘David’ at the Accademia.
Day 4 – Volterra & San Gimignano
Situated on a high plateau and surrounded by the original Etruscan walls, Volterra offers fine views of the surrounding hills – its 13 defensive medieval towers in the Chianti wine growing region give San Gimignano the name ‘the Small Manhattan’.
Day 5 – Arezzo & Montecatini Terme
Arezzo is famous for its hanging flower baskets and Piero Della Francesca’s frescoes in the Church of San Francesco – afternoon in Montecatini Terme with time to take the cable car to enjoy the lovely views from the historic centre of this charming village.
Day 6 – Pisa to UK
Morning free at leisure before our transfer to your preferred airport for our scheduled flight home.

I think everyone who took part would agree that this trip was a real success. Of course, the art and historical sites were supreme but the pleasant weather, comfortable hotel and delicious local cuisine added to the enjoyment of each day. Our excellent tour manager and coach driver both ensured that we always arrived safely and on time at each site and so we were really able to relax and take in the surroundings. Add to that a splendid and fun crowd of 44 members to travel with and it really was a perfect holiday!

Thank you for all your help with our Tuscany holiday, which we all enjoyed. Ryanair was much better than I expected. The tour manager and driver in Italy were excellent. We liked the friendliness of the hotel staff and enjoyed our welcome drink and wine with our meal on the last night. Fitting in sightseeing on the first and last day worked very well. We were very lucky with the weather, despite the forecast for rain for most of the week. And on top of all this, Tuscany was beautiful, with so many amazing places to see. There were a few other mishaps like falls and one person having his wallet stolen on the crowded bus back to our coach in Pisa, but Ludo dealt with everything very well. It's a pleasure to organise group holidays with you. I value the personal service and support. I'm looking forward to our next trip, to Sicily. Many thanks.

Just wanted to say how much everyone enjoyed the holiday to Tuscany. Hotel Villa Ricci was very comfortable and the staff did all they could to make our stay a happy one. Another evening in the hotel we had a quiz on Tuscany and the staff kept whispering the answers to us. As many of our group play bridge, card tables were available for us all week. It's thoughtfulness like this that make a good hotel. Ludo did all he could to show off his wonderful country and the weather was amazing, sunshine every day. I have recently returned from the Delights of Tuscany & Florence tour and I wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed the holiday.
