Here are some more suggested places of interest:
- Granada Cathedral - built by Queen Isabella immediately after the conquest of Granada on the site of a mosque, the cathedral is a masterpiece of Spanish Renaissance style
- Royal Chapel, Granada - in September 1504, Queen Isabella and King Ferdinand decided that Granada was to be their final resting place and signed a Warrant for a royal chapel to be built and the result was a masterpiece of Gothic art by Enrique de Egas

I must thank you for the very efficient way you organised our trip to Andalucia, and for the way you handled cancellations and the inevitable last minute issues that surround every visit. The visit was a huge success. Paul, the Guide, kept us all entertained while making sure the trip went like clockwork, and local guides were also good. The Moorish sites we visited in Granada, Cordoba and Seville were magnificent and – with the exception of the Mezquita, where our visit coincided with a Spanish bank holiday – not too crowded. Thank you and best wishes from 23 very satisfied customers.

A quick note for you on the excellent trip to Andalucia. The guide, Maria, was superb. A lovely girl who looked after us with care and concern and who was very knowledgeable about the area. A real asset. Both hotels were good, clean, quiet and well staffed, and both were well situated. The food was pleasant and we arranged a last supper together in the same form as the first night's meal in the last hotel. The first hotel was more friendly and personal, the second more formal though competent and pleasant. The coaches were fine. The trip itself was well balanced. The only complaint made to me was that we did not see Rafa Nadal! Thanks for your organisation, it was a very enjoyable trip. Looking forward to Krakow.

We are just back having spent a wonderful 5 days in Andalucía. Our tour manager was an absolute gem, great fun and also dealt with any small problems quickly and sympathetically. As group leader I did not need to worry about anything and, like everyone else on the tour, had a marvellous time. She organised a fantastic flamenco show for us and on the last day when it was raining in Ronda quickly arranged a visit to the bull fighting museum so that we were indoors part of the time. No praise is too great for the whole Tailored Travel organisation from the first phone call to Michael to sort out the offer, to the details put in place by Sandy. So, Tailored Travel, thank you.

I am so glad the itinerary worked well and provided great beauty and variety. I do put a lot of thought and preparation into it. Thank you to Sandy Cornish and Janan who, like me, have an eye for detail. They both remained calm and flexible when I suggested a little variation or two!! Each centre we visited was potentially the same, but actually quite different. Alhambra was vast with the magnificent backdrop and clear air of the Sierra Nevada and Granada's tiny hilly walkways. Cordoba was amazing for those coloured arches and an almost hidden cathedral within the mosque. Seville, well always my favourite. I would just love to live in the Alcazar and walk in those cooling gardens every day. Then the bustle and warmth of Seville. We were so lucky to be able to see that great flamenco show and witness the crowds celebrating Palm Sunday.

Thank you for organising such an interesting study tour of Andalucía. I know that you worked closely with our tour leader, Wynne, and it was so helpful to have the notes of where we were going first. Wynne and your tour manager combined to make everything easy and took into account our varying needs. We enjoyed the tour manager’s sense of humour and knowledge as well as her organising things so well with the coach driver and the excellent guides. We learnt so much, put over in clear and entertaining ways and the earpieces worked very well. So, altogether, a most enjoyable experience – including the Flamenco evening!

If you have ever wanted to be ‘educated, enriched and amused’, nothing could have filled the brief better than our trip to Magical Andalucia in mid-October. At Granada, Cordoba, Seville, Jerez and Ronda we learnt about medieval Spain, its art, architecture, the Moorish legacy, and its founding as a country - all through the humour as well as the knowledge of several remarkable specialist guides. And exercise? We walked miles, all of us. Fun? It was terrific. Thanks to meticulous planning and our inspired guide, Spanish history was brought to life in a spectacular five day experience, warmed by camaraderie and mutual support within our very happy group. Am I spurred on to find out more about Iberia (and the rested leg of Iberico ham)? No question!

Just a line to thank you and the team for organising our recent visit to Andalucía. It was a huge success and everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves and found it all fascinating. I would particularly like you to pass on our thanks to our Tour Manager who was an enormous help to us all. He kept an eye on everyone and anticipated any problems which might arise, as well as keeping us all well informed with local knowledge. I would also like to compliment you on your choice of guides, all of whom were excellent. We are now busy sorting out our photos and hope to send some on to you shortly. Again, many thanks for all your help.

I have received a number of emails from group members saying how much they enjoyed the trip to Andalucía; the main, indeed in most cases, the only suggestion for future years was, lighter lunches. So all good. From my side, I had a great time. Our tour manager took the strain and I thought giving up his room for others demonstrated his generous nature. Many thanks for all your work to ensure an enjoyable trip.

Thank you for organising the fantastic trip to Andalucía for our Society. It was an unbridled success and everybody enjoyed it tremendously. All the arrangements were very smooth and very well organised and our guide was just fantastic - she did a really super job and Carlos was a joy in Seville. The coach was very comfortable and José drove us beautifully. Thank you, Sandy.

My wife and I have been on several tours organised by your company and they have always been of an excellent standard which we have rather taken for granted and not commented upon. However, the recent ‘Magical Andalucia’ was so well run that I feel that I must write to say so. Paul accompanied our tour and made sure that everything happened when it should with humour, approachability and a knowledge of the country that was a real bonus. All of our local guides were excellent but Fernando, who was with us for two days in Seville, was the outstanding exception. His knowledge was immense and he imparted it with humour and clarity. He was a pleasure to be with and even at the end of a long day, I wished that it could continue longer. So thank you for providing such a welcome exception from the normal standards of modem travel and yet another Tour to be remembered and treasured.

We had the delight of going on a trip to Moorish Spain. Although you could have organised better weather you could not have organised a better guide! We had Paul as our guide throughout our visit. We write to report that he was so knowledgeable, so charming, friendly and attentive, particularly to those less agile in our party. His knowledge about the country - people, economy, about Spanish wine, about local food and about flamenco was encyclopaedic. Furthermore he delivered all his dialogue with a great sense of humour. His city and buildings information was equal to the best additional local guides we had. Although you organised the cultural delights of the holiday he personally 'made' the holiday and we were sorry to say goodbye. He is a prize asset to your company. Our views were mirrored throughout our group. We would wholeheartedly advise others to use your Company especially if he was the guide. This is an unusual letter. We have never written such a letter before in 50 years of vacations!

Having just returned from Spain I wanted you to know how much my wife and I enjoyed the tour. It was most enjoyable and extremely well organised. It is one thing to arrange the hotels and places to visit but to ensure the success of such a tour one needs hands on management and in this respect I cannot speak too highly of the Tour Manager, Paul. He was kind, helpful and considerate. His friendly approach and vast knowledge of the area was invaluable for our enjoyment and he is a credit to your firm. The coach you provided was extremely comfortable and the driver, Manolo, did a splendid job in a quiet and unobtrusive way giving help when needed, the standard of his driving was impeccable.

We had a successful tour and the itinerary you and Wendy had put together was very interesting. Our guides throughout were really excellent as was our driver. Like all the Tour Managers you have provided, Paul was very competent and proved a fund of knowledge. It was a happy group, with a lot of laughter, and much of the credit for this must go to Wendy for her leadership. I suppose the one disappointment was not seeing the Alhambra in daylight - but at least we saw it. TT scored again! It was 45 degrees C in Seville so we have come back to cool off!

We would like you to know that we considered the tour to Andalucía to be very well organised and arranged. In particular, your Tour Manager, Paul, was first class, clearly showing his experience and considerable knowledge. So much depends upon the tour manager and Paul really did ‘come up trumps’, taking great care of us all.

Just to say thanks for an excellent Classical Spain tour and particularly for Paul. He is an excellent tour manager, not only well informed and an excellent organiser but also sensitive to the varied needs of the group ensuring everyone is able to enjoy the tour fully. This was my first holiday with our DFAS and your company and I would recommend the combination to others.
