Sandy Cornish has won The Excellence Award

We think that Sandy is the best in the business. And obviously many of you do too. The Excellence Award rewards brilliant service to group travel organisers which we, her colleagues at Tailored Travel, think is a perfect description of Sandy.

Ever since her first day at Tailored Travel in July 2004 (17 years ago!) when she worked alongside the company’s founders, Michael and John English, to now managing our fantastic Operations team and overseeing all tours, Sandy has only ever given brilliant service to Tailored Travel and to group travel organisers. It is wonderful for her to receive wider public recognition of her fantastic work.

Reacting to the news, Sandy said:

“I’m just absolutely delighted. I feel quite embarrassed quite honestly because I know everybody who was nominated – or not nominated – is fantastic. I have a great team and I work for a great company. I’m so grateful. Thank you to everybody who voted.”

Many congratulations are also due to Elizabeth Hodgson of Barnet U3A who was awarded Group Travel Organiser of the Year^® 2021. After her first tour with Tailored Travel to the York Christmas Market back in 2009, her upcoming Blenheim Palace at Christmas tour will be the 27th with Tailored Travel and from memory all of them sold out! People love travelling with Elizabeth and there is no doubt that she performs a fantastic public service which not only acts as a great social activity for members but also broadens horizons and minds. Well done Elizabeth!
