Day 1 - Sorrento
Scheduled flight to Naples - transfer with our professional guide in our private executive coach to the 4* Hotel Michelangelo in central Sorrento.
Day 2 - Amalfi Coast
A dramatic drive along the beautiful Amalfi Coast with stops at Belvedere Positano for a stunning panoramic view, Amalfi and Ravello with time for lunch.
Day 3 - Mount Vesuvius & Pompeii
Stop to see Mount Vesuvius - guided tour and then the rest of the day at Pompeii, the town destroyed by the eruption of Vesuvius in 79AD and then preserved by the deluge of ash and lava giving us an amazing insight into ancient Roman life.
Day 4 - Naples & Museo Nazionale Archeologico
Guided tour of Naples taking in sights such as the Royal Palace and Palazzo Plebisito - guided tour of Museo Nazionale Archeologico housing many wonderful artefacts from Pompeii and Herculaneum.
Day 5 - Island of Capri
Free day to enjoy Sorrento or join the optional excursion to the island of Capri - after a boat transfer to the island, a guided tour of this beautiful island is followed by time to wander through the maze of delightful streets and squares or simply to dine in one of the many trattorias.
Day 6 - Paestum
Paestum is the site of the temples of Hera, Neptune and Ceres at what was the ancient Greek city of Poseidon (named Poseidonia by the Romans) and are considered to be amongst the best preserved examples of Doric temples anywhere in the world.
Day 7 - Herculaneum & Oplontis
Visit the ancient towns of Herculaneum and Oplontis that were also destroyed in the eruption of Vesuvius - in Oplontis we explore the excellently preserved architecture and decorations at the home of Nero’s wife and his family, Villa Poppea.
Day 8 - Sorrento
Morning free to relax in Sorrento - transfer to Naples airport for our scheduled flight home.
