Day 1 – UK to Reims
Board our private executive coach at the designated pick up points – P&O Ferries crossing from Dover to Calais – continue to Reims and check in to the 3* Holiday Inn Garden Court Hotel.
Day 2 – Guided tour of Reims & Mumm Champagne House
Guided tour of Reims taking in sights such as the Cathedral Notre Dame, where the kings of France were crowned, and the Basilica – guided tour of the Mumm Champagne House, dating back to 1827, finishing with a tasting of the House’s signature champagne, GH Mumm Cordon Rouge – free time to explore Reims and you may choose to visit Palais du Tau, the archbishop’s residence, or the Musée des Beaux Arts.
Day 3 – Marne Valley, Epernay & Mercier Champagne House
Guided tour along the Marne Valley through champagne vineyards and picturesque villages – at Epernay, the centre of the Champagne industry, we see the famous Champagne Avenue and enjoy a tour and tasting at the Mercier Champagne House – free time at leisure in Epernay or you may choose to join our optional cruise along the idyllic Marne River on board the ‘Le Champagne Vallée’ paddle steamer from nearby Cumieres.
Day 4 – Arras
En route to Calais we stop at the historic town of Arras where we have time at leisure for lunch – continue to Calais for our P&O Ferries crossing to Dover and onward travel to our original pick up points.Centrally located Reims hotel
