MON - UK to Krakow
We take our British Airways flight from London Gatwick to Krakow (call for details of
regional flights) where we are met by our tour manager and executive private coach. We
transfer to the 3* Justyna Hotel in Krakow where we stay four nights on bed and

TUE - Guided tour of Krakow
This morning we have a guided city tour of Krakow taking in the important sights of the city.
The Cloth Hall, with a splendid Renaissance edifice and an ornate roof adorned with
grotesque masks, is the world's oldest shopping mall having been in business in the middle of
the Grand Square for 700 years. St. Mary's Basilica, Krakow's principal church since the 14th
century, is particularly famous for its wooden altar carved by Veit Stoss. The stately halls and
exquisite chambers of Wawel Royal Castle were home to three dynasties of Poland's
monarchs, and its collection of the 16th century monumental Flemish tapestries is
matchless. Wawel Cathedral, Poland's national sanctuary with 1000-year-old history, was the
coronation site of Polish monarchs, is home to a wonderful art collection from Gothic to
Renaissance to Baroque to Classicist to Modern. There is then free time for lunch. The rest
of the afternoon is free to explore Krakow at your leisure.
WED - Krakow
Today is free to relax and explore the wonderful town of Krakow. Why not wander through
the streets of the Old Town or the former Jewish district, Kazimierz, where Krakow is
pulsating with life in all its variety, or explore the wonderful art works at Czartoyski Palace
and National Wawel Art Collection.
THU - Auschwitz
Join our optional excursion to the Auschwitz-Birkenau Memorial and Museum. Our guided
tour of the museum offers a moving account of the pain and suffering which was
encountered at this notorious Nazi concentration camp.
FRI - Wieliczka Salt Mines & Zakopane
We have an included guided tour of the magnificent Wieliczka Salt Mines, established in
1978 as a UNESCO World Cultural & Heritage Site. Nine centuries of mining in Wieliczka
have produced 200 kilometres of passages and 2,040 caverns. The tourist route starts 64 m
and ends 135 m below ground level where the world's biggest museum of mining is located
with the unique centuries old equipment among its exhibits. We continue to Zakopane and
check in to the 3* Pension Daglezja where we stay three nights on half board basis.
SAT - Chocholow
We enjoy a morning guided tour of the beautiful wooden village of Chocholow before
returning to Zakopane for an afternoon at leisure. Why not explore the old town of
Zakopane where traditional chalets with their ornate gables and steeply sloping roofs are set
against a back drop of picturesque steep mountain peaks.
SUN - Dunajec River Gorge raft ride & Szczawnica
Choose between a day at leisure to relax in Zakopane or join
our optional Dunajec River Gorge raft ride. The gentle two
hour ride passes through beautiful and rugged scenery between
steep rocks which reach a height of 1,300 feet. We then enjoy
time at leisure in the beautiful spa town of Szczawnica before
returning back to Zakopane via the internationally renowned
15th century timber church at Debno.
