ITINERARY

SUN - UK to Dubrovnik
Scheduled British Airways flight from London Gatwick to Dubrovnik (call for details of regional flights) where we are met by our guide and executive private coach for the transfer to the 3* Petka Hotel in Dubrovnik for our six night stay on bed and breakfast basis.

MON - Guided tour of Dubrovnik
We enjoy a drive along the coastal highway for a panoramic view of the city walls and ancient rooftops followed by a guided walking tour through the UNESCO listed ancient town. Surrounded by ramparts and fortresses, it is a treasure trove of architectural and cultural masterpieces, scrupulously preserved over the centuries. Our tour includes a visit to the Dominican Monastery and Museum and the Franciscan Monastery Museum with its 14th century pharmacy.

TUE - Trsteno & Ston
With its exotic vegetation and plants including giant plane trees, palms and camphor trees, the Arboretum at Trsteno is a delight. After a leisurely stroll through the botanical garden, we head for Ston one of the first towns in Europe to be built to a definite urban plan and attracting hundreds of visitors to its five kilometre long stone walls. Other attractions include the old Saltpan where salt is still being produced and the famous oyster and mussel farm.

WED - Dubrovnik
Today we have a day at leisure to enjoy the medieval town of Dubrovnik. Why not explore the medieval walls which encircle the town, enjoy a boat trip to one of the surrounding islands or simply relax on the beach.

THUR - Mostar
Our full day tour to Mostar introduces us to the varied cultures and religions that over the centuries have left their mark. We drive along the coast to the town of Neum, and then turn inland through the mountainous areas of Herzegovina. After a brief stop above the Deransko Lake we drive along the Neretva River Valley to Mostar. During the Turkish rule, the city was an important trade centre and our guided tour will show us the city highlights including an old bazaar and the mosque. Our return drive takes us to Pöitelj, a picturesque fortress town rich in oriental architecture.

FRI - Montenegro
Dubrovnik & Croatia The Montenegro Littoral provides stunning natural beauty and an abundance of historical sites. Our drive takes us to the mouth of the Bay of Kotor through the most beautiful parts of the bay to the towns of Risan and Perast, boasting some of the best Baroque architecture on the Adriatic. We travel on to Kotor, a wonderful medieval town dating from the 12th century and now a UNESCO site.

Our descent from the heights takes us to Cetinje, the one time seat of Montenegro rule. After time for sightseeing, we return to the coast with a short stop above Sveti Stefan and Budva before a ferry ride across the bay back to Dubrovnik.

SAT - Dubrovnik to UK
After the morning free in Dubrovnik we transfer to the airport for our scheduled British Airways flight back to London Gatwick.
