Day 1 - Audley End House and Gardens & Anglesey Abbey
Board our private executive coach at your designated pick up points - visit a carefully selected National Trust or English Heritage property such as Audley End House and Gardens near Saffron Walden, to discover the sumptuous splendour enjoyed by royalty and the aristocracy in one of England’s grandest stately homes - continue to the National Trust’s Anglesey Abbey, Garden and Lode Mill a Jacobean style house, built on the site of a 12th century Augustinian priory and containing a priceless art collection - check in at the 3* George Hotel at Swaffham.
Day 2 - Norwich & Oxburgh Hall
Guided tour of Norwich, England’s best preserved medieval city, takes in sights such as the Norman Castle, the city’s two cathedrals and the City Hall - the National Trust’s Oxburgh Hall, a moated manor house with a Tudor gatehouse and accessible Priest’s Hole built by the Bedingfeld family who still live here, shows the development from medieval austerity to Victorian comfort and includes a display of embroidery by Mary Queen of Scots and Bess of Hardwick.
Day 3 - Sandringham Estate & Holkham Hall
Sandringham Estate, built for Edward VII in 1870 and the much loved country retreat of Her Majesty the Queen, is set in 60 acres of splendid gardens and the museum houses extraordinary collections of royal vehicles, rare ceramics, photographs and memorabilia - Holkham Hall was conceived by Thomas Coke, the first Earl of Leicester, as his vision of an Italian villa on the windswept north Norfolk coast.
Day 4 - Blickling Hall and Gardens & Felbrigg Hall
Visit the National Trust’s Blickling Hall and Gardens, one of England’s great Jacobean houses, famed for its spectacular long gallery, superb plasterwork ceilings and fine collections of furniture, pictures, books and tapestries - the National Trust’s Felbrigg Hall is a 17th century country house containing original 18th century furniture and one of the largest collections of Grand Tour paintings by a single artist.
Day 5 - Guided tour of Cambridge
Two hour guided tour of Cambridge covering the most important aspects of the city, University and colleges - return to the original departure points with comfort stops en route.
