Day 1 – UK to Marrakech

Scheduled flight to Marrakech – transfer with our guide in our private executive coach to the 4* Hotel Elanalous in Marrakech.

Day 2 – Marrakech guided tour

Half day city tour takes in the outside of 12th century Koutoubia Mosque, Morocco’s most famous and whose minaret is regarded as a symbol of Marrakech, the beautiful carvings of the Saadian Tombs, the fine architecture of the ancient Bahia Palace and the Menara Basin, built for military exercises in the 12th century – included lunch at a carefully selected restaurant in the main square – afternoon in the Souks, a maze of hundreds of shops, small streets and narrow alleyways and a feast for the senses with row after row of spices, perfumed oils, magic potions, silver and gold, leather goods, carpets and rugs.

Day 3 – Ourika Valley

Full day in the peaceful Ourika Valley, located approximately 60 kilometres from Marrakech in the foothills of the Atlas Mountains – the small mud houses dotted along the valley give no clue to the 21st century life we have just left behind and included lunch is at an authentic berber house powered by a water mill – optional evening meal of traditional Moroccan cuisine and entertainment at the excellent Chahramane Palais.

Day 4 – Essaouria

Two and a half hour drive to the coastal port of Essaouria on the Atlantic Ocean, one of North Africa’s most beautiful cities with a mixture of French, Portuguese and Berber architecture and a thriving port, old defensive walls, charming streets and famous markets.

Day 5 – Marrakech to UK

Transfer to Marrakech Airport for our scheduled back home.

Four nights on bed and breakfast basis at the 4* Hotel Elanalous, located within walking distance of the historical Djemâa El Fna Square, the Koutoubia Minaret and the Congress Palace. Facilities at the hotel include several restaurants, a bar and swimming pool. All rooms are en suite with air conditioning.
