Porto Cervo

Day 1 – Santa Teresa di Gallura

Scheduled flight to Alghero – transfer with our local guide in our private executive coach to the 3* Moresco Hotel at Santa Teresa di Gallura.

Day 2 – Costa Smeralda - San Pantaleo, Cala di Volpe & Porto Cervo

Tour along the Costa Smeralda, one of the most stylish and cosmopolitan areas of the Mediterranean, includes San Pantaleo with its ornate town square, and Cala di Volpe, a Moorish style resort – guided tour of stylish Porto Cervo taking in the ornate multicoloured houses with time at leisure in the resort before returning to the hotel early this afternoon.

Day 3 – Castelsardo

Guided tour of the beautifully preserved medieval town of Castelsardo, founded in the 12th century by the Genovese family of Doria and famous for its production of woven baskets, takes in sights such as the Cathedral with its high altar and the famous Madonna del Maestro di Castelsardo painting, and the Church of St Mary – return to Santa Teresa di Gallura this afternoon.

Day 4 – Santa Teresa di Gallura

Day at leisure to relax on the beach and explore the resort of Santa Teresa di Gallura.

Day 5 – Corsica & Bonifacio

Take the ferry to Corsica and the city of Bonifacio, dating back to the Roman era – guided tour of Bonifacio takes in the Upper Town, built on a limestone peninsula, and the majestic Citadel, constructed in the 9th century by Boniface II of Tuscany – after time at leisure to explore the marina area of the town, we take the return ferry to Sardinia.

Day 6 – Santa Teresa di Gallura

Day at leisure at Santa Teresa di Gallura.

Day 7 – La Maddalena & Caprera Islands, and Giuseppe Garibaldi Museum

Take the ferry to the archipelago of Maddalena, awarded National Park status in 1996 – guided tour of La Maddalena, the only island on the archipelago with a town, includes a visit to the church in which Admiral Nelson donated a crucifix and two candelabras to the local populace – continue by road bridge to the island of Caprera and a visit to the museum which contemplates the life of Giuseppe Garibaldi who lived on the island until his death in 1882 – take the ferry back to Sardinia.

Day 8 – Sardinia to UK

Transfer to Alghero Airport for our scheduled flight back home.
