Day 1 - Ghent & The Hague

Board our private executive coach at your designated pick up points - P&O Ferries Channel crossing from Dover to Calais - originally the capital of Flanders, Ghent has retained more historical buildings than any other Flemish city, including St Bavo Cathedral, home to the famous 24 panel altarpiece ‘The Adoration of the Mystic Lamb’ - continue to the 4* Park Hotel in The Hague.

Day 2 - Frans Hals Museum & the Panorama Mesdag

Travel to Haarlem for a guided tour of the Frans Hals Museum’s wonderful collection of Hals’ portraits from the Golden Age - painted by Hendrik Willem Mesdag, the most famous painter at The Hague School, the Panorama Mesdag is a cylindrical painting over 14m high and 120m in circumference depicting the vista of the sea, the dunes and Scheveningen village.

Day 3 - Van Gogh Museum & Rijksmuseum

Full day in Amsterdam - guided tour of the wonderful collection at the Van Gogh Museum - guided tour of the Rijksmuseum whose world famous art collection includes many Dutch Old Masters such as Jan Steen, Frans Hals, Vermeer and Rembrandt’s ‘The Night Watch’ as well as sculptures, clocks, Delft Blue, porcelain and Asian and Oriental art.

Day 4 - Royal Palace of Het Loo & Kroller Muller Museum

The Royal Palace of Het Loo, built in 1685 as a country residence for William III and his wife, Mary Stuart, was used as recently as 1962 by Wilhelmina as her royal residence - the private collection at the Kroller Muller Museum of late 19th century and early 20th century paintings includes 278 works by Van Gogh, an outstanding collection of Chinese porcelain and many hundreds of Delftware items.

Day 5 - Bruges

Bruges, whose historic city centre is included on Unesco’s World Heritage List, is famous for lace making, chocolate and its picturesque network of canals - continue to Calais for our P&O Ferries crossing to Dover and then return to our original departure points with comfort stops en route.
