Day 1 – UK to Rudesheim

Board our private executive coach with our tour manager at the designated pick up points – P&O Ferries crossing from Dover to Calais – continue to Rudesheim and check in to the family run 4* Traube Aumueller Hotel.

Day 2 – Rudesheim Christmas Market

Full day at leisure in Rudesheim to explore the Christmas Market – over 120 festively decorated chalets, representing 12 nations, sell all kinds of gifts from candles and jewellery to wood figures and festive foods, and there is an extensive music performance programme – why not also take a cable car to the Niederwald Monument or take lunch in a local restaurant?

Day 3 – Heidelberg Christmas Market

Guided tour of Heidelberg taking in sights such as Altstadt, the Castle and the University – rest of the day is free to savour the sights and sounds of the 140 stalls of Heidelberg Christmas Market – the view of the Castle enjoyed over a cup of mulled wine, the festively decorated shops in the city centre and the typical, regional gastronomic offerings across many squares all blend together wonderfully in creating a truly memorable seasonal atmosphere.

Day 4 – Aachen Christmas Market

En route to Calais we visit the Christmas Market at Aachen which is set around the cathedral and the town hall – travel to Calais for our P&O Ferries crossing to Dover and onward travel to our original pick up points.

Three nights on half board basis at the excellent 4* Traube Aumueller Hotel in Rudesheim. The hotel is ideally located in the historic centre on the banks of the Rhine. The hotel has a restaurant and indoor pool and all rooms are en suite.
