Day 1 – UK to Annecy

Scheduled flight to Geneva – transfer with our guide in our private executive coach to the 3* Best Western International Hotel in Annecy – dinner in the hotel.

Day 2 – Annecy, Gorges du Fier & Château de Montrottier

Guided walking tour of Annecy introduces us to this charming town lying at the northern tip of Lake Annecy surrounded by snow-capped mountains with a network of canals crisscrossing its centre – short trip to the magnificent Gorges du Fier, one of the greatest natural phenomena in the Alps – guided tour of the Château de Montrottier.

Day 3 – Chamonix-Mont Blanc

Full day excursion to the Alpine resort of Chamonix-Mont Blanc with time at leisure to explore the boutiques or to take the cable car up into the mountains for a stunning view of Mont Blanc and the famous Mer de Glace glacier.

Day 4 – Aix-Les-Bains & Abbaye de Hautecombe

Travel to Lake Bourget, France’s largest lake, and the spa town of Aix-Les-Bains, featuring the ruins of the original baths first enjoyed by the Romans and also the chance to visit the small museum of Musee Faure, housing works by Degas, Renoir and other impressionists – visit the Abbaye de Hautecombe amongst the wine growing slopes of Lake Bourget.

Day 5 – Chambery

Guided tour of Chambery, the former capital of the counts and dukes of Savoy during the 14th century, taking in its château and historic centre – optional farewell dinner at a carefully selected restaurant in Annecy.

Day 6 – Geneva

Guided tour of Geneva taking in sights such as the water fountain, the Flower Clock and Saint Peter’s Cathedral – transfer to Geneva Airport for our scheduled flight home.

Five nights at the 3* Best Western International Hotel at Annecy, located only a few minutes walk from the old town and Lake Annecy. On the first night dinner is included and the next four nights are on bed and breakfast basis. Facilities at the hotel include a restaurant, bar and a steam room. All rooms are en suite.
