Our suggested itinerary features return scheduled flights to Budapest, four nights at the 4* Best Western Hungaria Hotel in Budapest, with all excursions and guided tours included and the services of a professional guide for all excursions and transfers.

Day 1 – Budapest

Scheduled flight to Budapest – transfer with our professional guide in our private executive coach to the 4* Best Western Hungaria Hotel in Budapest – dinner in our hotel.

Day 2 – Budapest guided tour & Hungarian National Gallery

Guided tour of Budapest, a city full of Baroque and Art Nouveau architecture, reveals the characters of the once rival cities of Buda and Pest separated by the Danube and takes in the Coronation Church and Fisherman’s Bastion – guided tour of the Hungarian National Gallery tracing the development of Hungarian art from the 10th century, with an impressive collection of paintings dating from 19th and 20th century.

Day 3 – Museum of Fine Arts & Parliament House

Guided tour of the Museum of Fine Arts, home to reputedly the best Spanish collection outside Spain, an excellent Venetian collection (particularly Titian and Giorgioni), a Dürer, several Brueghels, a beautiful Raphael and works by Leonardo da Vinci – guided tour of the magnificent neo-Gothic Parliament House, one of Budapest's finest architectural achievements and the home of the Holy Hungarian Crown, the splendid Session Room, the impressive central staircase and the wonderful Great Vaulted Hall.

Day 4 – Szentendre

Half day visit with our guide to the delightful town of Szentendre on the banks of the Danube to explore the old medieval streets and churches, its Orthodox Church and the Margit Kovacs Museum, a much renowned ceramics artist – return to Budapest for an afternoon at leisure – optional classical concert at either the State Opera House or National Concert Hall this evening.

Day 5 – Budapest Opera House

The Budapest Opera House is the work of the greatest Hungarian architect of the 19th century, Miklós Ybl, and with its neo-Classical and neo- Renaissance design was one of the most imposing opera houses of its day – transfer to the airport for our scheduled flight home.

Four nights at the 4* Best Western Hungaria Hotel in Budapest. Located a twenty minute walk or four stops by bus from the centre of Budapest, facilities at the hotel include a restaurant, bar, gymnasium, sauna and solarium. A welcome dinner is served in our hotel on the first evening and the remaining three nights are on bed and breakfast basis.
