SUGGESTED ITINERARY
Day 1 UK to New York
 Scheduled flight to New York where we are met by
our private coach and guide for the transfer to the
first class Park Central Hotel on Seventh Avenue
for a four night stay on a room only basis.
Day 2 Manhattan & Metropolitan Museum of Art
Our included guided coach tour of Manhattan
gives us a great introduction to the city including
Wall Street, Central Park and the Empire State
Building. The afternoon is spent at the
Metropolitan Museum of Art with a guided tour
on arrival for an introduction to the collection
after which you have free to enjoy the gallery at
your leisure.
Day 3 Whitney & The Frick
We visit the Whitney Museum of American Art this
morning. Since the Museum's opening in 1931,
the permanent collection has grown to more than
12,000 paintings, sculptures, prints, drawings, and
photographs, representing nearly 2,000 individual
artists and providing the most complete overview
of twentieth century American art of any museum
in the world. In the afternoon we visit The Frick
Museum housing the many masterpieces from the
Renaissance to the end of the nineteenth century
that industrialist Henry Clay Frick bequeathed to
the public. This evening you have the option
(subject to availability) of a night at the opera at
The Metropolitan.
Day 4 Cruise Manhattan Island
Today you have the option of a cruise around
Manhattan Island beneath the Brooklyn,
Manhattan and Williamsburg bridges taking in
views of the world’s premier skyline and a close
up of the Statue of Liberty. The rest of the day is
free to enjoy New York at your leisure. This
evening there is the option of a farewell dinner at
a carefully chosen restaurant.
Day 5 Guggenheim Museum
Our last day in New York takes in the Guggenheim
Museum. As we walk the spiral walkway that
dominates this Frank Lloyd Wright masterpiece,
we see great works from artists of the 19th and
20th century including Brancusi, Braque, Calder,
Chagall, Giacometti, Kandinsky, Klee, Miro, Picasso
and Van Gogh. In the afternoon we are met by
our coach and guide for the transfer to the airport
for the evening flight back to the UK.
